Our Belief

‘…870’ is an Art Collective based in beautiful Queenstown New Zealand.

Established and emerging artists & designers contribute original works in response to our environment of Aotearoa; from traditional ink drawings, woodcuts and stencils to experimental printmaking techniques.

Works are available as beautiful limited edition prints on paper, and on our 100% Organic Cotton, Ethically made t-shirts, tanks and dresses.

We believe the humble T shirt is the perfect canvas to enjoy art everyday.

100% Organic Cotton
The soil is allowed to regenerate itself before it is farmed again. Biodiversity is increased, as a variety of crops can be grown in the same field, without any polluted ground water. The healthy organic soil holds more carbon which removes CO2 from the atmosphere, helping to combat climate change.
From there the cotton fiber is knitted into fabric in a clean and safe mill free of chemicals. Conscious of precious resources, all water used in the dying process is recycled, purified and re-used. Our colours are created without any sulphates or azo dyes, which is better on your skin as well as the planet.

Fair and ethical
Just as we collaborate with local creatives on the our exclusive artworks, we equally value the people that make our garments....870 garments are made according to strict Fairtrade standards. The people that make our clothes work reasonable hours, with holiday pay, receive bonuses and are payed a fairly, beyond just minimum wage, in order to improve lives through social and economic initiatives within the greater community.
Quite simply, we wish to treat others as we would like to be treated.
